SHORT FILMMAX TORREZ: SUPERHERO
I was approached to shoot a couple different scenes in varying genres for Max’s reel. The prompt for this one was to make him feel like he belongs in a multi-million-dollar superhero film. With limited time/resources and so many great nuanced beats in his packed, 2-page script, I knew we really needed to just light/dress the space to let performances drive this one. Then, we could use subtler choices for camera placement, movement, and sound to enhance and reinforce what the actors were communicating.
