Filming over multiple nights in the Mojave desert with a team of 20+, visual effects, practical fire effects, and stunt rigging all without modern amenities is no joke. When Action Studios set out on a quest to make their 3rd ad for Silicon Valley High School (dubbed “Tutoring Wizard”), they contracted me as 1st Assistant Director. It was my job to work closely with the producer and creative teams to make sure the crazy ambitious ad was kept on schedule and crew was safe out in the extreme elements.
