Top-20 Finalist in Film Riot’s 2020 MakeFilm Competition
Jericho sets out on a dangerous quest to rescue his lost brother Taric from one of the mysterious realms past mystical gates. With his village’s two bravest warriors accompanying him, he must learn to be an adult and discover what the journey has in store for him.
With only around two weeks of dedicated pre-production and 9 days of post production, we shot for 6 days across California (and Nevada). Despite the extreme deadlines and logistical challenges, “Journey” is still one of my all-time favorite filmmaking experiences; seeing everyone go above and beyond to serve the story and each other was remarkable and humbling. I can’t wait to see Journey develop into something bigger and better and continue working with the creatives at Action Studios.
Produced primarily for My RØDE Reel and Film Riot’s Make a Film Challenge, “Journey” is a fantasy/sci-fi proof of concept short that we hope to develop into a longer-form product.
